Nice. Simple, clean, quiet…. I’m not familiar with the original, really, but your version is certainly not “hacky”….
It´s nice and clean, maybe a bit too clean. Actually, IMHO only the header-image is ugly.

Definately not hacked, but i think you need some contrast but thats just my opinion…Oh and someone mentioned a header image, i can’t see it? Running firefox 2.0..
Here’s my two cents…
I told someone else “around here” that they had too much subordination. I think that’s you too. As Madonna would say, “Express YOURSELF!” :.|
Add some images, maybe even tweek what you have a bit more. Try to place your content before the header, and even consider adding a third column. Why? Because there aren’t many good WordPress sites out there that have this, as well as faux columns.
Thanks all, indeed I have no “visible” header and have placed a “header image” on my sidebar instead.
I think I’m quite happy with the layout, and this theme tends to be becoming sidebar centric, so I’ll look into adding some colour.
I’m just a bit worried that some may find it too alien, you kind of fall into the first post and have to look right to the sidebar to see what’s going on. I could move the sidebar to the left?
Um. I’m confused…. (not unusual….)
This morning, there was a distinct header. Tonight there’s not. Either is okay, but I like the header version better.
