    Hi all!!
    I did a quick search and I couldn't find what I need, so here is my "new to wordpress" problem.
    I use css to display a navigation bar ("buttons") under my header in separate division. The CSS for this bar is screwing with the .meta class and is adding the background images from my navigation behind the entry category (after "Filed under:").
    A bit of the navigation code.
    #navlist ul
    {
    padding: 13px 0px 0px 0px;
    margin: 0;
    list-style-type: none;
    background:url(http://davidblog.ws/blog/master_images/menu_background.jpg);
    color: #666666;
    width: 760px;
    height:24px;
    font-family: verdana;
    font-size: 10px;
    text-align: center;
    }
    li { display: inline;
    padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
    }
    li a
    {
    padding: 5px 45px 5px 45px;
    border: 1px solid;
    border-color: #2f2e50;
    background-color: #f5f4f4;
    background-image: url(http://davidblog.ws/blog/assets/navnormal.jpg);
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    background-position: 0% 50%;
    text-decoration: none;
    color: #666666;
    }

    Not all of it but you get the idea.

    I can understand where the problem is coming from (mostly) but have no idea how to get around it.
    Thanks,
    David

    li { display: inline;
    padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
    }
    li a {

    Make that
    #navlist li { display: inline;
    padding: 0px 0px 0px 0px;
    }
    #navlist li a {

    Try replacing li with #navlist ul li and li a with #navlist ul li a.

    Two replies within seven minutes that says the same thing. That's nice. :-)

    Indeed. But did it work? :)

    @Davidprince
    Btw, you might want to check what encoding you use. The pages are presented as UTF-8, but the content seem to be ISO-8859-1.

    It did indeed work.. Should have caught that but I am still rel. new.
    Thanks a bunch..
    I realize the entries look a bit garbled. They were imported from mt. I will have a look once the rest of the layout is complete.
    Again Thanks,
    David
