Homepage (static page) How to hide comments section

On the page editor if you can’t see the comments control then click on “Screen options” on the top right hand side of the screen then check the “Discussion” checkbox. Now on the page you have a discussion section below the content editor – uncheck the “Allow comments.” checkbox
