   I don't know how to word this, but I'd like to have the homepage of my blog to feature post "snippets" instead of the entire post, and the user would then click on the title to be taken to the whole post. Is this theme dependent, or is there an option I'm missing in the Dashboard?

   just insert the "more" link where you want the snippet

   or use this plugin do to it automaticly (you can chose how many letters to display per post)
