Home tab duplicates Blog tab with static home page (4 posts)

    I've set up our new site with About as our static front page. Problem is the Home tab still appears, unselectable and active with the Blog tab is selected. Ideally, I'd like either the About page to appear with selection of the Home tab or to simply have About appear as the home page. Either way, I want to remove the extra tab now called Home.

    I've tried making the About page the child of the Blog. I've also tried removing the Home link from from the theme's header.php. No joy yet.

    Any ideas?

    It looks like you got it working. How did you do it? Many of us are having the same trouble.

    Figured out. FINALLY!!! damn that was a pain..

    you need to edit the header.php in your template..

    Look for this code..

    i cant get the code to paste here without it getting all messed up..

    Ill try to explain this..

    look for this
    <li class="page_item <?php if ( is_home()

    and the end of it is this
    /" title="Home">Home

    you are adding <!-- --> at the begging and end of this stuff

    so it looks like this
    <!--<li class="page_item <?php if ( is_home()

    and this

    title="Home">Home --->

    hope this helps, check your page and the home link should be gone, now you can work on creating another page and then making it static so that its your actual home page..
