[resolved] "Home" tab and blog title both link to wrong page (8 posts)

About two months ago my web hosting company had a big issue and my site was offline for about three days. The problem is that both the "Home" tab and the NealHallinan title both link to the last post I wrote before the webhosting issue.

    This is my site:
    NealHallinan.com

Clicking on the "Home" tab or my blog title will both bring you to this page, which isn't the most current post.

I'm not a programmer, although I do have some networking and html experience from years ago. I'm not sure how to resolve the issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Neal

What folder is the blog in on your server? Are you using WordPress as the root?

The title link and home tab are pointing to http://nealhallinan.com/blog, but then, for some reason redirect to http://nealhallinan.com/blog/strengthtraining/how-to-look-your-best/

In your admin screen, click on General, under Settings. What is in the "WordPress address (URL)" field? What is in the "Site address (URL)" field?

    Thank you for responding.

Using Modzilla, it says- remote site: /hally4595/blog
The blog is inside the blog folder

The WordPress address and Site Address are both http://nealhallinan.com/blog

I haven't a clue why they both redirect to that one post. That specific post was the last post I had written before the webhosting service crashed and I was offline for three days.

    Have you tried:

    - deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    - switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

I deleted the offending post but all it did was deliver a 404 error. I then deactivated the redirection plugin and it worked! Thanks for the suggestions. REALLY appreciate it.

Thanks for this post. I was getting the same issue. Tried changing theme, deleting all posts etc.

Removed the redirection plugin and viola! Worked like a charm.
