http://www.vbdems.org is my new WP blog. Go there and see my header, my menu, half of my sidebar and none of the current posts. WordPress was installed as a sub-directory. I have 2 index.php files: one in the root directory and the other in my wordpress directory. Is that my problem. I deleted the one in the root directory and that didn't solve the problem so I put it back. Help!

2 index.php's won't work. You can't have the one in the WP root if you have one in your site root.
    Did you follow this exactly?

Well, hold up there a sec. WP installs an index.php in the root (short and sweet). That one should still be there.

I disagree. If you have all of your WP files in example.com/wordpress and your index.php at example.com you remove the one from /wordpress and use the modified version for the root.

I stand corrected. I hadn't read the original post closely enough.

In the sidebar, find the last thing that gets displayed.

    What's right below it?

Nothing. It's a very short page.

I get a complete page if it is anything http://www.vbdems.org/yuddayudda but it's short when it's plain http://www.vbdems.org

This was occuring yesterday, however, sporatically. I will mention that this problem occurred today and stayed constant ever since I dropped Sitemeter.com and Leftyblogs.com scripts to the sidebar. Notice both scripts show up nicely on any other page besides my home page.

Well, I've deleted my Sitemeter and everything is good. Must be a sitemeter issue?

I wonder if it was timing out?

Perhap, would explain its being sporatic.
