[resolved] Home page shows 404 error (3 posts)

    I just created a new site using wordpress, but for some reason the home page is showing the 404 error and I am at my wit's end trying to work it out.

    To create the front page as being static, I have done the following:

    Settings > Reading > Front page displays - selected a static page
    Created a new page and titled it home and used that as the static home page

    But, I cant seem to make the home page show up.

    I am sure it must be something really simple that's the problem, but I dont know what.

    Can anyone suggest something?
