• Resolved lia_leaves

    Hi –

when I click the “home”page tab, the finder bar flashes between “home” and “Blog” then I get the following message:

Too many redirects occurred trying to open “http://blog.myblog.com/home”. This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the original page.

I’ve checked all settings in the WPs admin and can not find wehre or how this page is redirecting. All other pages are working correctly.

    Any help would be appreciated!

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting via Settings -> Permalinks. If this works, then review Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.

    Hi –

deactivated all the plugins and that worked. so now I need to reactivate them one by one…that will take some time.

I had tried a different theme and the issues was still there.

    thanks!

    Found it!

it was the “Redirect” plug in:
“Manage all your 301 redirects and monitor 404 errors”

thanks for your help with this

    Glad I could help 🙂
