   Hello.

   My home page is stuck only showing "older posts" at the bottom of the screen and does not actually show page numbers as shown in http://html.webtuts.pl/evolved/

   Is there a way so set this or php to edit so that my page will appear the same.

   page numbers are often not part of themes, but done with plugins such as wp-pagenavi (there are others plugins ...)

   alchymyth is right. You need WP Page Navi plugin to show page numbers.
