I have got a website that was developed with the index.php being a place holder, and the actual front page was named homebox.html. What do I change and where do I change the info so when sometime types for example shabsheep.com they go to the shabsheep.com/homebox.html as the index page?? Any help would be great..this is driving me crazy! :)

I think you're going about this wrong. What you need to do is create a new Page within WordPress, add what content you want to the Page, then change your Reading settings to make that page the homepage.

    For info on Pages: http://codex.wordpress.org/Pages

Once you've create your page, go to Settings -> Reading in your admin panel. Next to "Front page displays" select "A static page" then select the page you created.
