Home page is GONE & replaced entirly by calendar but posts are there somewhere!

    So I just deleted a duplicated category that I never used and it was in capitol letter when I noticed that my homepage content had been gone entirely and when I check my posts and pages I couldn’t have access to them even though they are there as “numbers” of posts/pages.
    From the browser/reader prospective, My home page shows now calendar on the entire page and no widget or side bars either! All other pages are working pretty much perfect with all posts and widgets. All links are of posts are doing well and they are working.
    Back to my dashboard, the only way I found to navigate to my posts in my dashboard are those that have comment. So I do have access to comments. Other than that I have no idea.
    I deactivated all plug-ins except the ones that came with the them and wordpress and it seems that it did not work.

    update: I can’t find my library or media/pictures that I already had once. yet all images are live on website!

    Solved: My host solved the issue after I called them and they backed up to previous date 🙂
