• I can’t get the home page editor to load. It just keeps on giving me a spinning wheel.

Earlier today I installed a plugin that gave me an events calendar widget. I put the events calendar widget in the grid but it didn’t work. I uninstalled the plugin but accidentally left the widget in the homepage grid during the uninstall. When I went back to the homepage editor to edit the grid afterwards, that’s when I first had the loading issue. I tried uninstalling and re installing the theme.

I am getting the following error “Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘grid’ of undefined panels.admin.panels.min.js?ver=1.4.3:15”

Also, when I uninstall the Page Builder by SiteOrigin plugin, the homepage editor works but won’t support all of my plugins and gives me a message about updating to the latest version of Page Builder. When the plugin is activated the homepage builder won’t load at all as mentioned above. I’ve also tried uninstalling and re installing this plugin.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi monopoly10

I’ve heard this issue come up a couple times over the last few days. I’m not sure what was causing it, but it might something to do with changes in WordPress 3.8.1.

I think I should be able to figure out the issue from your description. Thanks!

As a temporary fix, this might work. Reinstall the events calendar plugin you were using. Then go to the home page editor and remove the calendar widget. After you’ve done that, remove the events calendar plugin again.

Hey! Thanks for the quick response!

I tried re installing the plugin but I still can’t get into the homepage editor to try and delete the widget.

Oh and I don’t want to be a bother, but do you have any estimate as to when this might be fixed?

    Hello,

“I can’t get the home page editor to load. It just keeps on giving me a spinning wheel.”

I am having the same problem. I also installed WordPress 3.8.1.

    Please help! 🙂

    Thanks

Another issue I have been having is that I cannot add a row/widget (in the page builder section) to any of my pages. No idea if that is at all related, but also a new issue I have been having.

    Thanks
