    This is all new to me so apologises if I come across as a complete novice.
    I am trying to create a home page that’s plain with no images or columns, just my name and the various categories I need is this possible? I also want to colour the home page.
    If some one could provide me with an answer that would be great

    Create a Page with a Title “Home”
    then In your Backend,
    Settings -> Reading ->
    For home page Select
    Static Page and from the select box, choose Home as the Landing page of your Site .
    Put what even content you want in it..

    Thanks a lot for your help.
    Still trying to sort this mess, out really having problems getting a static grey home page with my name and categories on it that will link to an individual gallery. Also trying to remove the Artboard name from the header on my home page.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
