To add, in menu settings, I currently have it set as ‘theme locations’ to ‘primary menu’. When I unclicked this option, the home does go to the landing page of cherrychaseneighbors.org. however, i lose the drop down menu option.

@cherrychase, in menu open the Home tab and write the address http://cherrychaseneighbors.org/

Dear Tizz, do you mean change it in the PAGE, I looked in the menu and don’t see an option to add my link. Here are my steps in the admin panel.
I click on “appearance”, then “menus”, I see menu structure, I open the “HOME: tab, I only see navigation label, title attribute. I don’t see a place where I can include my link http://cherrychaseneighbors.org.

Thank you for your help, additional information needed.

Create a page you want to be home and create a page you want for the blog.
Go into Settings > Reading and set for static page and set the homepage and then for the blog page.

@cherrychase Open custom menu and delete that HOME tab.
Now click on the arrow near “Help” at the right top side, it opens a dropdown menu with some checkboxes, check “Link”, close.
At the left side, now you’ll see a widget called Link, write in URL the link you want to open to, write HOME in the text and then click “add to menu”, et voilà.

P.S.: Disable skysa weather plugin, it gives an error.

@batharoy, cherrychase doesn’t want a static home page.
