I installed the WordPress stats on my website and then the WordPress hits addon hit tracker. But the tracker on the website records hundreds of its (probably me doing maintenance on the site) and doesn't match the hits on the dashboard.

Can anyone recommend a hit counter that directly displays the dashboard stats?

I hope you have upgraded your wordpress stats to jetpack.

Check the settings and see if you have selected for "not to record my hits".

The only box I see is "count WP admin hits" I do not have this box checked & still it counts every page, post and photo hit from me...?

anyone? Certainly there must be a plugin hit counter that doesn't count admin visits?

    anyone?

It is pretty obvious that the WordPress hit counter counts my hits AND webcrawlers. I had about 150 hits on one day and the counter showed 1100.

The workaround I found was to use Count Per Day, this let me enter the the hits and visitors values from my previous blog.
