   Does anyone know about a hit counter or visitor counter plugin that I can display on my static home page? My clients like to "see" how many people have visited their site without having to deal with Google analytics - that's my job.

   Perhaps "Counterize II":

   Or "Counter":
   http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/counter/

   Neither promise to work above 2.5 so you may need to do some testing if you're running 2.6 or 2.7.
