Support » Fixing WordPress » Historical Posting?

  • Hi folks – I have become a great deal more computer literate over the past few years, and am basically looking for a system to move my diary online – I started keeping a diary back in ’99 and would love to get it all online – I think wordpress is the “cleanest” look that I have found so far, I’m just wondering – is there an easy way to post a *lot* of entries (nearly five years, so somewhere about 1400 entries!) just stepping forward a day at a time, rather than posting them all and changing the dates manually.
Ideally, a way that I could login, tell the system what date I am working from, then create an entry, change the date, and so on up to present day.
I have PHP 4.1, MySQL etc available, but don’t have access to the shell/system time on my hosting server – it’s a shared box.
    SH.
