Is there any way to collapse/expand the link categories in the widget by clicking them like you can in a navigation tree?

Hierarchical Link Categories is just what we were looking for to sort our links but we have over 150 links and need a way to reduce the size of the list on the page!

If you have a developer or dev experience yourself, my suggestion would be to build a custom function using the get_bookmarks family of functions, and then use jQuery to show/hide. Or even a jQuery UI tabbed panel box.
