Hiding text in the_title template tag with an image (1 post)

This is my first post to the WordPress forum, am I'm pretty new to WordPress too...

My questions relates to the the_title tags and using images instead if text..

I've been able to add an image to the template tag the_title, <?php the_title('<img src="path/to/image/image.png" alt="alt text here" />'); ?>

Ideally I want to be able to have this image replace the title text used for the page. I've tried using CSS to do this (font-size: 0;) but it appears that webkit browsers don't fully support this. Looks fine in FireFox however.

Looking in the Codex, there does not appear to be anything that relates specificaly to this. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to achieve this?

    Thanks in advance
