• I didn’t see exactly what I’m looking for in the archives. I’m not sure if it can be done easily or I need a work around.

Basically I want to put some entries that I don’t want to show up until I determine later..

(Gossip – talking about a possible marriage and stuff, but what if it doesn’t happen?)

Anyway, other than just saving the post as a draft, is there another way? Such as setting a user level that isn’t currently used and changing the user level to the lowest later. Is that possible? Also, would those posts show up in the correct chronological order? I.e. – they would appear as old posts and people might skip them? Right now – saving as drafts seems the best bet.

Just had a thought. Someone else might use this to show something like planning a surprise party but not wanting anyone to see it until after the surprise. Or documenting some business secret until the secret is revealed, such as a new model or something.

  • First, you have to have advanced controls on. (This is the top thing under Options | Writing – simple or advanced controls).

Then in the Write Post part of the Dashboard when you are writing the post, you scroll down to where it says “Edit Timestamp”. Check the box and change the date and time to the date and time you want the post to appear before you press “Publish”.
