I am wondering if there is a way to comment out the page sub title example "home" with out deleted the link from the navigation. Where would I find the area on the code to do that and watch type of commenting do I need to use.

Do you mean the page title - the heading directly under the menu, which is the heading you gave to your page/post when you created it?
I guess the easiest way would be to just edit your page/post and delete the title, but making sure the permalink stays the same. You'd also have to remember to always create a post/page with a title, but then delete is after the permalink had been created (or alternatively you could create a unique permalink manually by editing the permalink when you create the page/post).
The other way of doing it would be to modify your theme's PHP files. Which ones you'd need to modify would depend on how your theme is constructed, and on what types of page/post you wanted to remove the rendering of the titles (e.g. list pages, single posts, pages...).
