[resolved] hide_columns and show_rows works only on Backend? (6 posts)

    Shortcode [table id=2 hide_columns="1,3" show_rows="2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11" /] does not work on Frontend. How to show some rows and cols on Frontend?

    Hi,

    thanks for your question.
    This Shortcode looks correct to me. Can you explain, what exactly is not working? Can you maybe post the URL to the page with the table?

    Also, note that you will have to deactivate Table Output caching for this table, if you show it with a different Shortcode on a different page/post.

    Hm...
    After deactivate Table Output caching for this table, Shortcode
    [table id=2 hide_columns="1,3" show_rows="2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11" /]
    really hide some columns, but don't hide some rows - I'm see full rows with pagination (for this table enables pagination for 50 each rows).

    But I found a way: [table id=2 hide_columns="1,3" row_count=10 /]
    You can see this: http://club.aerotennis.ru/ (the third tab in the middle right of the page).

    Hi,

    ah, thanks for the link. No I see what you are actually trying to do :-)

    Using "show_rows" for some rows will not automatically hide the other rows! You will either have to hide them on the table's "Edit" screen first, or by adding another Shortcode parameter. Thus, for your case, this would be

    [table id=2 hide_columns="1,3" hide_rows="all" show_rows="2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11" /]

    I would actually recommend this Shortcode, as "row_count" will no longer be supported in the future, namely in the official and designated successor of WP-Table Reloaded, called TablePress (see http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tablepress/description/), that I'm working on.
