On the settings page the “Hide standard checkout button on cart page” is suppose to hide the “Standard Checkout Button” I assume (unless I’m somehow wrong). If so, I’m glad this feature is there cause it makes sense and I need it, but at the moment it is not working I still still see the standard checkout button. 🙁

I’ll have to play with that and see if I can reproduce it. That might actually be something left over from the Woo extension that I need to get rid of altogether.

The way I set this up, if you’ve got nothing but Express Checkout enabled then the checkout button on the cart page will actually go straight into PayPal Express Checkout and will skip the checkout page even though it doesn’t use the actual PayPal Express Checkout button. I did this to avoid confusion for people who don’t have PayPal accounts. The actual PayPal button sometimes makes them think they can’t pay without an account even though they can.

If you have both EC and Pro enabled, then it will show both Pay with Credit Card and the regular PayPal EC button on the cart page. The cc button would continue to the checkout page, and the PayPal button would skip it and go straight to EC.

If you have EC and any other payment method enabled (check, cash, etc.) then you will get both the Continue to Checkout and the PayPal EC button.

So, the “hide standard checkout button” is essentially supposed to do what I’ve got this plugin already doing, which is dumping the checkout page entirely and going straight to EC.

Are you experiencing something different than what I’ve outlined here? I think I just need to remove that option because it’s not really active right now, but the end result should be what you’re after, which is skipping the checkout page.

This option is simply being removed in the next update because it is obsolete as I explained above.
