Support » Plugin: User Access Manager » Hide some files only

  • Hi,

I want to use UAM to protect certain files. So I created a user group “internal” and assigned the default WP roles to it. Then I uploaded files and checked the “Access” box to assign the permission for the “internal” group.

In the plugins settings I activated the file protection (.htacces stuff). So far anything is ok and the files are protected but then I recognized that some images that are displayed on the site are not displayed anymore. Even when I´m logged in as Admin. I was looking for a pattern which files (images) are visible an which are not but I couldn´t find one.

When I deactivate the .htaccess file protection those images are visible again but then all my protected files (the ones I assigned the “internal” group to) are not protected anymore.

So can you please tell me how I can protect specific files (not the whole uploads directory).

    Thanks a ton
    – Michael
