Responsive WordPress Slider - Soliloquy Lite
[resolved] Hide Soliloquy from Authors (3 posts)

I only want Editors and Administrators to see the Soliloquy options or the "Add Slider" button on pages. How can I restrict Authors and Contributors from seeing it? Is this a feature available in the full version?

You can follow the guide here to see how to limit viewing Soliloquy to only administrators here: http://soliloquywp.com/docs/limit-soliloquy-to-admin-users-only/

You will need to change all instances of Tgmsp to Tgmsp_Lite to affect Soliloquy Lite. You could add another check to see if a specific capability exists for Editors in general, such as the edit_others_posts cap, along with the current_user_can check.

Since this is beyond basic support, I'd be more than happy to continue to provide personal support with a paid license purchase.

Worked like a charm. Thanks! I will likely purchase the plugin but wanted to test the Lite version to make sure it worked well for our purposes.
