• Is there a plugin or a hack to hide the display of a post’s date? I hate having to go int a post every day to update the date so it doesn’t look old (when using with sticky post plugin).

    I would like to use this in conjunction with and without the sticky post plugin. I have a wordpress site that I don’t list archives in the sidebar — searchable only and this function would be awesome — I just have no clue how to do it without messing something up.

    Does anyone know how to do this?

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Just edit the Main template. Look for something like

    <?php the_date(); ?> and delete it.

    Will this mess up any indexing or archival functions or is this just a command to display the date?

    Also, some posts I still want to display the date. I am looking for something that will allow me to pick and choose the posts that I display the date on — just like the sticky plugin let’s you choose what posts stick to the front page. 🙂

    no it wont mess up the archival functions.

    as to having some display and some not… that would require a plugin.
