   Hi guys,

   I've got a problem with my companies website (www.darwinitc.com). The version of PHP on our webserver was upgraded over the weekend so I thought it would be nice to upgrade the WordPress version as I now could. BIG MISTAKE!!!

   Just as I was upgrading I had an internet connection failure and now the site isn't working at all!! When I go to the URL, I get a file download box for a PHP script but it doesn't give a file name and if I try to log in to the WP-Admin, I get a different PHP script called "wp-login.php".

   A bit of background on me, I'm VERY new to website work, being a hardware engineer by trade. I was asked to start looking after web stuff about a month ago and haven't had a lot of training. So please bear with me if I come across as REALLY thick :-)

   Try:
   - switching to the default theme by renaming your current theme's folder in wp-content/themes and adding "-old" to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

   - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

   - re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.

   - running the upgrade manually via wp-admin/upgrade.php

   Thanks esmi, I tried all the above but to no avail.

   Luckily we had a back up from the night before so I just restored that over the top instead. Probably should have just done that in the first place...

   Thanks for your help though :o)
