• Help! I am hosted on bluehost.com and it has been actually amazingly OK. However, over the last week I’ve gotten the occasional home page is gone replaced with the message “Database Connection not found”

Today, this happened and then on the refresh, it is as if wordpress has forgotten it was installed. I got the wp-install page where it asks to create a new wordpress blog!

Help, I looked at mysql and it is running. I see the mysql database and it is there. Somehow wordpress is confused. Is there some easy way to tell it all is well.

I don’t want to recreate everything and googling for this doesn’t seem effective.

  • My webstie jsut creashed and I experinced a white screen on the homepage and the even the wp-admin was the same. turned out it was a plugin that I recently disabled screwing with it, but had to revert back 2 days with the data bases before i figured this out, check what plugins you’ve just disabled.

Yeah, I had that problem with a plugin which I ended up disabling. I forget which one. I had not disabled anything though. The scary thing is I didn’t get a white screen, but the actuall wp-install screen like it forgot *everything*

This is bizarre. Now i just flipped it on and tried again and the blog works fine. I do see on the error logs, bizarre stuff like:

Is there any way to see which ftp base directory we installed our wordpress blog in. We are trying to upgrade the latest version and they ask for our ftp credentials.
    Thank you
