I've been using a theme for my site for a while now and I started trying to update it to support widgets in the footer. I followed guides but the theme is missing a functions.php file as it's quite old, I've tried to contact the author but he can no longer be reached. this is the theme.

I'm trying to add 3 footer widgets to it, to replace the hardcoded plugins already there. Could anyone offer help with this or point me in the right direction? As far as I got was to add the html to the footer, but couldn't figure out where to add the php code to make the plugins appear once I added them in the admin.
