I just noticed there are issues with ff (view sidebar in ie then in ff π )
What will it take to get some help? (besides a LOT of patience)
You are bumping a topic.
You are acting as if you are owed help.
Chill ….
You barely waited two hours dude…this is free help.
I’m not going into IE to see this properly, but it should be a simple CSS fix, I’ll check it when I have more time.
Well, alright… I’m just a little over excited…
Okay…………your issue is quite solvable but you need some changes to your css. Where did you get the theme ?
You need to use a ‘faux column’ technique which uses a small graphic to create the column while css positions the text with that, so giving the correct appearance. I haven’t opened IE to look but using the above technique will have the view in both looking fine (it will also work in Opera and Netscape).
You have a couple of options:
– Search for faux columns at the good css sites then read and experiment
– Download the fantastic Gemini template from Stuart’s site ( http://thebombsite.com/Layouts/124 ) and play with that
– A combination of the above.
I was modifying the anthurium mix theme from alex king;s site… thanks for ur help…
The anthurium theme works well in any browser because it is based on Gemini. But if you don’t have the gemini installed or its template files included in your new theme – it will pull other template files, which would break it.

Please do not remove credits. I did look ….
I’m sorry, I didn’t know I wasn’t supposed to do what I did… I will create a new theme altogether then.
rohitkumar,
it doesn’t mean you cannot use it. WP comes with a license.txt
which basically describes the situation here, since Anthurium mix (like all the themes entered into the competition) are under the same GPL license or something compatible.
Although Anthurium is designed to run with a Gemini index file it often ships without a faux column menu bg. It can easily be fitted. No hacking needed. Just add it in the rap CSS. Thanks for the kind remarks apropos Gemini. Sometimes the simplest solution is the best.
‘it doesn’t mean you cannot use it. ‘
I fully understand that. But I want my theme to read my name in the author column. For this purpose I have been reading through Urban Giraffe’s dissection of a WordPress theme for the last, say, 4 and a 1/2 hours… (ala- very good site as well)
