I have been working on the wp-catelouge plugin and it is implemented here on this site.

It will be helpful if you can give little help on two things :

    1. I would like to customize the side menu as it is a flyout menu for nested categories. Is there any setting so that I can change the behavior ? I have tried with some plugin shortcodes but it is not working from there. I have seen this type of flyout menu in wordpress default theme.

    2. I would like to show the categories with thumbnails of product from that category on the home page. Is there any way to do this ?

    3. When clicking on categories, I would like to show sub categories there. If there is no sub category, then only I would like to show the products belong to that category.

It will be a great help if you can suggest some methods and it will be appreciated.

    1. Free version doesn't handle sub-categories. If you want to do this the best option is to upgrade to Pro here. Flyout (accordion) style menu is not built into the plugin (although we're thinking of adding it next major release), but if you're comfortable with a little coding then our support staff in the Pro forum can give you some instructions for adding this yourself in the plugin.

2 & 3. Sorry, this is not the way the plugin works. It doesn't have the ability to upload an image for each category, nor render categories/sub-cats to the front end in any format other than the side menu. You are welcome to modify the plugin to do this if you want to, but it is beyond the scope of general plugin support so it is not something we can really help you do.

    Thanks,
    Maeve
