I have a custom frontpage for my blog (using wpremix), and i am wondering how i can get a page layout for the blog. Right now people have to go through ?page=1 instead of going to, say, /blog/.

    How can i change that?

  • You want to set up “pretty” permalinks.

I have pretty permalinks, but i don’t know how to get a template with a blog.http://www.itsoverninethousand.com

You can see i have permalinks enabled (e.g: http://www.itsoverninethousand.com/downloads/) however, i don’t know how to access the blog part of the site using a “pretty” permalink.

What is the “slug” for your page id #1? Change it to “blog,” then it should work.

i can’t find the slug at all. Thats the problem

Edit that page; immediately under the title you will see where you can edit the slug.

in the pages section, there is no “blog” page at all. Im even looking in the database. in the database, i filtered out all non “page” types, and yet i see nothing in relation to blogs, just the pages iv made since opening my blog.

nevermind, i got it fixed. I went to make a new page, called it “blog”. Then in the “reading” section, for post page i set it to blog, and now it works.
