Help with custom functions fatal error (2 posts)

I changed something in my custom functions file, and my site crashed. I got this message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/howdeck/public_html/wp-content/themes/thesis_182/custom/custom_functions.php on line 111

I fumbled around in my cPanel, basically deleted a bunch of code where I thought the error must be, but it didn't fix the site. I kept reading in previous posts in these forums that you had to rename the file, so in my cPanel I renamed the custom_functions folder to functions

That restored my site, but I have lost a lot of the modifications I had made in the custom functions file in my dashboard. The code still appears (for example: there is code to install a header widget) but there is no header widget on the site.

    Hope someone can help!
    Thanks

As you are using a commercial theme, there is very little we can do to help in this situation. We don't support commercial themes here. Have you tried asking the theme's vendors for support: http://diythemes.com/
