    Hello,

I am currently trying to improve the look of this website:

    http://www.vantranslimousine.com

I work for this company and they previously had someone put this site up for them. I want to make this look less like a blog and more like a website, a nicer looking one and I found the free colorway theme. I'm not sure where to start or what I'm doing wrong but I installed it and was not able to figure out how to change the images on the main page, and to change some of the colors used such as the background colors. I'm not sure if I'm missing something because this site was put together by someone else. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I deactivated the colorway theme for now since I can't get.

Note when i tried editing it from the theme options, some of the items i was trying to change on the theme did change, but not for the main page, for example i uploaded some images for the main page, clicked use this image and saved and the images on the first page did not change.

    Thank you

It's all in Appearance > Theme Options > General Settings, Home Top Settings and Home Page Settings.

Thank you for your reply. I didint find how where to change the footer color or the color that appears when i hover over a link there. (I don't like the green color it came with) So i went to the colorway editor and it says:

"WARNING! DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE!

To make it easy to update your theme, you should not edit the styles in this file. Instead use
the custom.css file to add your styles. You can copy a style from this file and paste it in
custom.css and it will override the style in this file. You have been warned! :)"

So i guess my question is where can i find the custom.css file? I'm confused, have looked all over!

    Thanks!

That warning only means if you add custom styling you'll lose it if you update the theme because that file will be replaced. If there's no custom.css file you can create one either in your hosts file manager or using an ftp client. Create it at the root of the theme (ie in the theme>colorway folder) and it will be editable via WP admin>appearance>editor.
