Help with adding image header to Photopress template (7 posts)

    Please help. I am using the Photopress theme which uses a text header (by design... supposed to be clean looking). I love everything about the theme but I want to use my logo as the header, not the default text. Can anyone help me do this. I did a search and tried a few things but without success.

    Thank you.

    I wish that I could help. I am in the same situation as you. My site needs a header image too. I am trying to add a circular jpg image just left of the text title in the header.

    The only difference for me is that my theme is "Quadruple Blue 1.0" by Small Potato. My site is http://www.energyanalysis.org.

    It is the most challenging problem that I have faced yet because I am not a CSS or PHP guy.

    If I ever find a solution I will pass it along to you in this thread.

    Thanks. I know enough CSS/PHP to hack things up a bit but really, not much more than that. If someone points me in the right direction, I can probably get this thing done.

    Well it doesn't look like help is on the way, but i have a suggestion for you. It worked for me anyway. Try switching to the new UBD Moneymaker theme which you can download from the unique blog design website. The theme includes a logo.png image in the images folder which you can simply replace with a new logo image of your liking. It worked for me, and this new theme has a lot of nice built-in features and it looks fine in both IE and FF.

    Thanks. I see that it worked for you. The problem is that a theme like that is too busy for my needs. The one I have is perfect except for the fact that it uses no image header, only text. I have experimented with many themes and swapped out their header images and backgrounds for mine but none seem to quite fit the bill. May have to go to a more custom design.

    Ok, I found out how to do this. Actually if you follow the instructions here:

    http://www.solostream.com/2007/10/09/how-to-add-a-header-image-to-the-simplicity-wordpress-theme/

    it works for my theme and I would suppose any theme that does not currently have an image header. I had it up and running in less than 5 minutes.

    I think if you change the logo.png file in the theme images folder it will take care of this. I have been fooling around with mine a bit. The code for the header image is also located in the stylesheet.css when you go to the theme editor. You should find it in the logo section.

    #logo {
    height:57px;
    width:627px;
    background:url(images/logo.png) no-repeat;
    display:inline;
    float:left;
    margin:28px 0 20px 6px;
