Help! Weird things happening with theme after starting blog over... (4 posts)

Recently, my WP blog became so buggy I just got frustrated with it, made backups, and wiped the whole thing and reinstalled and started over. After restoring all the backups, nearly everything worked fine, that is, all except the theme. I mean, the theme appears fine on the blog itself. Its just, in the admin panel, I notice a few strange things. First of all, under Manage Themes, under the Current Theme, it says:

    Current Theme
    by

All of this theme’s files are located in .

That's all. I click on the theme (which is Ninjamonkeys by the way) and it says 'New Them Activated Visit Site', yet the theme does not show up at the top of the page. But that's the least of my worries. I also can't go to the theme editor, because it says:

The requested theme does not exist.

The final, and most frustrating issue, is the fact that I can't add page templates I made to pages, because the option simply isn't there.
I have tried to change permissions on every theme related folder and file, I have tried to reupload the theme over and over, even the version without the page templates I made. Still, nothing. What I don't understand is, the theme was working fine before I wiped the blog. Now it's doing all this stuff. Please help!

Oookay.... this forum was of absolutely NO help to me. But to anyone seeking a solution to a similar issue, look in this thread:

Also, my SPECIFIC fix was to drop the table wp_options and query it over again.
