I have an old postnuke site and found 'pntowp' script to convert to wordpress. The problem is it adds to 'post_category' which no longer is used in wordpress. Could someone help me out by updating the code below to the correct tables?

That column seems to be used only to accumulate PN topics by post so that the count column in term_taxonomy can have the correct values. It appears to have no use after this is done. So I wonder if one were to add this column into the posts table, let the script do it's thing, then delete the column afterwards, if everything would still work correctly.

A bit of a long shot, but worth a try perhaps. Programming a proper workaround appears to be somewhat involved, it's certainly beyond my modest skills.

I'm hoping it was a quick and easy fix just to change the table it uses.

I tried installing the WP 2.0 and 2.5 releases and running the scripts, but it didn't work. I thought I could upgrade after that.

So, having the script updated seems like the only option.
I have over 2000 post dating back almost 10 years I would love to keep available for searching.

That's unfortunate, seems like a worthwhile effort though. That makes me think someone with good knowledge of both databases may to need to go through the entire script if you want to be sure the migration works correctly.

Of course deal with the missing column 1st, that may be all there is to it, but I have a sick feeling it will not be that "simple". Best of luck to you for finding a workable solution.
