I have tried installing the threaded comments about 5 times already. Its installed but everytime I try to reply, it makes a comment instead of replying to above comment.

    Check it out for yourself.

    Chrissy,
Sorry it took me this long to get to your problem, I was out of town. It looks like (unless you took it down) you do not have the complete hack in place and are missing the stuff that goes into your index.php file. Look for something like "Reply to this comment..."
The way this hack works is to reply to a particular comment you have to click on the "reply to comment" link and the javascript creates the correct code.
    HTH,
    Peace

Ok, reinstalled it but now I'm getting a bunch of errors.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: dodos_thread() in /home/babychic/public_html/wp/wp-comments.php on line 41
Parse error: parse error in /home/babychic/public_html/wp/my-hacks.php on line 56

Chrissy: You have missed something again. I would say you missed the main function. Make sure dodos_thread() goes before anything else in my-hacks.php

In my-hacks????I downloaded the threaded comments zip file. There was nothing about my-hacks in there. Is there a newer version of the threaded comments?

I have the same problem. No where in the file does it say anything about my-hacks.php...

When I tried to run "add_comment_reply_ID.php", I always get this message:
    Can't connect to the database
    Duplicate column name 'comment_reply_ID'
Can someone please help me with this? What does the message mean?
    Thanks!

Sorry. This thread gets lost all the time.
@rose: That means that the column you are trying to add already exists in your database and does not need to be added anymore.
@anon's: The instructions do not mention that you need to put the functions in my-hacks.php. I was wrong there.
@everyone: There is an update to this hack which will soon be released. Stay tuned. I promise that there will be almost nothing to install! ;-)
    Peace

LaughingLizard, any news as to when the update will be available, at all? :) I have been toying with the idea of having a go at modifying the hack myself in order to rectify the problems I've been having with it, but since I noticed your post a few weeks ago, I decided to wait for your update instead, although I may just continue with my own modifications if it does not seem that the update will be available soon. :)
I would appreciate if you could please let us know! :) Thanks!

@mitu: Feel free to go ahead and modify the hack. That will benefit everyone. I dont know when I will be able to provide the new distribution in tutorial form, so there is not ETA at this time.
    Peace
