Help! Slider navigation button hovers misplaced! (7 posts)

    When I minified files and purged caching with w3 total cache, my PHP file codes got changed. I uninstalled the plugin and emptied cache.

    When I checked the homepage, the top admin bar was missing and I couldn't scroll down to the rest of the website.
    Problem: The rest of the homepage.php file was not being called.
    Solution: I moved an ending ul tag to include:

    <nav class="slides-navigation">
                        <a href="#" class="next">s</a>
                        <a href="#" class="prev">S</a>
                    </nav>

    The admin bar is back and I can scroll down to the rest of the homepage. But, the homepage is STILL missing (wasn't showing before) the slider navigation buttons that should appear upon mouse hover (on the large image that you first see, the entire screen is supposed to change when you push the slider buttons).

    This is in the masthead.

    However, when you click and drag the picture to the right, the slider changes the picture and now there is a blank image at the very end. This BLANK image shows the navigation buttons (not on hover, they are just there the whole time).

    I have no idea what happened with the coding in this PHP file, but I do not know where I am supposed to place the sliders-navigation section.

    When I tried different places, it either broke the homepage or I would not be able to scroll down to the rest of it (nevertheless, I have not been able to bring back the navigation buttons anyways).

    Any suggestions or feedback would be a LIFESAVER! Here is the entire homepage PHP code for the "slider masthead":

    <?php get_header(); ?>

    <?php $canon_options_slider = get_option('canon_options_slider'); ?>
    <?php $canon_options_hp = get_option('canon_options_hp'); ?>

            <!-- SLIDER MASTHEAD -->

            <?php

                if (empty($canon_options_slider['slides'])) {

                    //code here for when no slides

                } elseif (count($canon_options_slider['slides']) === 1) {
                ?>

                    <div class="wrapper sliderWrapper">
                        <div class="column cta third <?php echo $canon_options_slider['slides'][0]['text_alignment']; ?>">
                            <?php echo $canon_options_slider['slides'][0]['text']; ?>
                        </div>
                    </div>

                <?php

                } else {

                    echo '<ul class="slides-container">';

                    for ($i = 0; $i < count($canon_options_slider['slides']); $i++) {

                    ?>

                        <li>
                            <img src="<?php echo $canon_options_slider['slides'][$i]['image_url']; ?>" class="slide-img">
                            <div class="wrapper">
                                <div class="column cta third <?php echo $canon_options_slider['slides'][$i]['text_alignment']; ?>">
                                    <?php echo $canon_options_slider['slides'][$i]['text']; ?>
                                </div>
                            </div>
                        </li>

    <?php

                    } //end fori

                    ?>

    <nav class="slides-navigation">
                        <a href="#" class="next">s</a>
                        <a href="#" class="prev">S</a>
                    </nav>

    </ul>

            <?php

                }

            ?>

        </div>
        <!-- END HEADER-CONTAINER -->

    Thank you in advance. If I need to be more clear about the issue, I can answer any questions.

    What theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

    I'm using the Kodax theme and it was from http://themeforest.net/item/kodax-full-screen-landing-page/6354562

    Code was fine until I messed with minifying files and cache-ing with w3 total cache

    Try re-uploading a fresh copy of your theme.

    Dang it... I think you're right... that might be what I have to do. I was just hoping that the problem might be isolated in the homepage.php file. We actually inherited this site, so it's going to be a pain to track down the original developer.

    Does the code above look correct otherwise?

    I couldn't say for sure. We do not have access to, nor do we support, commercial themes here.

    Fair enough... thank you for your response... I will try to get into contact with the developer.
