steverobertscoHello wordpress successors. I am hoping you can all help me. I have been using wordpress now for a few months and loving it, nowadays its more then just a blog site but a CMS which is the feeling I get so far. And would love to carry on using it. I currently own a copy of wordpress for dummies and read through useful resources but I feel its difficult unless explained direct because it seems some things mean others.
But today I have a project which needs to be finished prior to content by the end of the week, so I am hoping you can help me. I will be [posting around 4 or 5 questions today hopefully staying within the rules of wordpress.org one per post. The following is just on of my questions.
I have created a news page on my site. It shows the latest news items with a read more button going into each news item.
But on the right I wish to show:
* The 10 latest news items.
* Archive by month.
* Archive by year.
Now I have an archive by year and one by month showing but when I click them, they go to a completely messed up page.
How do I show each of the items above (when clicked) on a separate page?
Then later I wish to have the first (latest) news item shown on another page in like an RSS feed but how do I make my news page or at least the top news item RSS available?
Thank you all in advance and hope someone or many can help... All direct answer, links, resources, codes, etc etc welcome.
