HELP! Problems with "pages", bgcolor & colomn width (3 posts)

    Hey all,

    I've been at this for about 4hrs now & I my brain seems so messed up. So frustrated, so please see if you can help me. I would so grateful.

    My site: http://kiwibride.com
    "page": http://kiwibride.com/?about

    PROBLEM #1:
    Layout of "Pages" isn't the same as my "Posts" (which is how I want it to be). You can see clicking on the 2 links above that they're not the same. The bg color of the "page" is white, and I can't figure out why or where it's coming from. I've even tried manually just putting the html in to the page before posting it to change it and it doesn't work.

    PROBLEM #2:
    Also to do with "Pages", as you can see when I post a page, the sidebar is shoved out of the way. I actually can't even find where in fact I've stated how wide the "colomns" are? I feel so stupid too since I remember mucking around with them not long ago!?

    I may have another problem... but I'm going to give it a good shot before I post it.

    Please help if you can. I can upload a file of my CSS if that's helpful and link it.

    Oh I do actually have one other problem...

    How do I make a custom index.php page to hide what I'm developing?

    I'm changing my WP theme from Red Essence to Flexx. I'd like to use the Red Essence background with my Flexx theme. Advice on how I can do this? Thanks.
