   Hello,

   I have carried out the 2.5 upgrade (1st time i've done an upgrade and it's scary!) when I try and do the upgrade at the end it says this:

   Fatal error: Call to undefined function add_filter() in /home/amandajo/public_html/thejournal/wp-includes/default-filters.php on line 20

   Can someone please give advice??

   Haochi, please do you know the answer to my problem??! You seem to be able to solve all the upgrade problems!

   The first thing I would try is to go into your blog files via FTP or your web host file manager and delete the wp-includes folder and upload the wp-includes folder again.

   Thanks! and ok, done that but no difference yet. Just to check, do we have to upload ALL files in the wp-content file, but opening all folders up and uploading ALL opened folders?

   I had frontpage server extensions activated until recently and although I have un-installed them, I do not know if the .htaccess file is the same as it was before, Could this be the problem??
