Help, Petition Message is not displaying properly

Hello,

I am trying to get our first petition up and every time I paste in the Petition Message and then preview it, I see the new paragraph notations and space breaks. How can I fix this?

Text one paragraph.</p>
<p>Text two paragraph.</p>
<p>Test three. Did this work?
