Help! NextGen Gallery deleted with WordPress Update

Hi folks-

I recently updated a clients site from 3.6 to 3.9.1 and everything is fine, except that her NextGen Gallery plugin was deleted. I updated the plugins before updating. I also exported an xml file of the site’s content before updating.

Question is, if I import that xml file into the site, I’m assuming it will bring back the gallery photos intact, correct?

It won’t double up the posts and pages, will it?

And will importing the xml delete her most recent post?

I think she would rather not rebuild all the galleries, so any help is appreciated.
