    Sadish,
    I would suggest you visit Position Is Everything for some excellent information on getting this to work.
    In IE, it’s doing what you want, but that’s because IE is “forgiving” something in either the CSS, the source code, or both. The web site I suggest has many examples on how to get your content to behave the way you want it to.
    Incidentally, I am having the exact same problem on three of my sites! I’ve just not got around to fixing it yet. I guess I better get off of my arse and do that! 🙂
