• Hi

I was using blogger.com with my custom domain, toady i purchased a VPS and want to transfer my domain from blogger to wordpress: –
(What i have done so far)

Changed NS to my own custom NS i.e. ns1.mydomain.com
    Installed WordPress on it
    Removed custom domain from blogger.com

Now my domain is not accessible yet, firedrive.ca ,
Is there any need to do anything else?
Is there any need to change my DNS Zone File (godaddy)
or anything else, if i am missing something

  • Once you change the nameservers of a domain, it can take up to 72 hours before all changes are visible.

However, it seems your own custom nameservers are ns1.firedrive.ca and ns2.firedrive.ca. This may end up in a catch 22: firedrive.ca needs a nameserver to resolve, but the nameserver is firedrive.ca itself…which is not resolving yet.

I’m not entirely sure how this works on a network level though, so it’s only a hunch.

    Hie,
You have folloed the exact steps what was needed and as @senff said , it will take time .
You can check the status of change in your DNS details either at Whios or at http://www.betterwhois.com/
by Just entering your domain name (again no “www.” at the
    beginning).

Because as soon your details changed on there on whois your website will work fine.I hope this will help.

I have checked it, NS seems to be resolved, http://who.is/whois/firedrive.ca, but still its showing google.com IP, instead of mine?
