Help need a solution to prevent sum catogories from showing up in my sidebar

    Guys can u plz help me to resolve a problem . i tried various plugins but in vain.i need to remove sub categories from being displayed in the side bar all over the site(ie exclude the sub cats from displaying)
    the site is http://www.hulosoft.com there is a sub catogory for the download section in the side bar called “video editors” i need to remove(ie from being displayed) that and all the sub catagories i might add in the future .. i want only the parents cat’s to be displayed
