I believe one of my plugins might be interfering with my viewers commenting on my posts. Please help. My comments were activated back in June and now they are not.

Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Twelve theme with all plugins deactivated?

I am a beginner here. Well, sort of. I had someone design my blog theme for me. She installed it in early June. There was a place for my viewers to comment on my posts, using the jetpack plugin, I assume. Since about the second week in June, however, the add comments is not available on my posts. I've checked that the jetpack post comments plugin is active and all the settings are correct. I read in past forums that sometimes the plugins can interfere with the comments.

Have you checked that Comment are enabled on your site?

This is a different issue altogether. Before, the comment box wasn't showing up. Now the comment box shows up but when I enter a comment it disappears.

There are NOT held for moderation. My code is http://pastebin.com/pwLHtrSG

I'm having the same problem more or less. Comments worked fine until a month or so ago. The line on the bottom of my posts is still there, but when I, or a visitor clicks on it, nothing happens. However, spam still enters my spam folder. All the correct spaces are checked - just as they were when the system worked. The comments on previous posts are still there. My blog is blog.normahuss.com

Another question. Does anyone who could possibly help ever read these posts?

These are 100% volunteer forums, so unfortunately, not all threads get answered - I just answered yours -

@ashleyz3 - if you are still having this problem, please post a link to your site AND try deactivating ALL plugins with the twentytwelve theme activated.

Yes, I'm still having the problem. My blog site is blog.normahuss.com I haven't tried deactivating plugins. I did try updating my theme, but when that didn't help, I went back to the old one as I like the colors better. (I didn't know where these answers were arriving, so just found this.)

Well. . . I thought I had my comments problem all figured out. The person who designed my blog created the comments section in the CSS which was interfering with jetpack, which I had also activated. Deactivating jetpack helped. Some people are able to post comments. HOWEVER, I continue to have some who can not. I would love to take the comments out of the code and use jetpack, if most people are able to use that successfully. But the person who created my blog theme has gone MIA. My website is

Don't know what happened to the link to my website. http://ashleyfarley.net

I just had one reader tell me she was directed to a blank page when she tried to enter her comment. Then I received a comment from another reader.

Maybe I should take out the comments from my theme and use a plugin like comment luv. Can anyone offer guidance on how to delete the comment section from the CSS
