   Help I am a complete wordpress novice and have just set up my first site for my wife k1p1.com but i can not seem to fined out how to get site description info on google search. All i can see is k1p1.com/ in blue with no description (meta data i presume)
   Help Help how do i rectify this.
   Any help would be appreciated.

   Hi baker-bunch,

   By default, WordPress does not include the meta description tag. It's no longer used by most search engines, but if you do want to include a description you can either add tags to your header.php file or use a plugin:

   Thanks Christini i will give that a go.
   So where do the search engine get the info about your site?
   Is there a better way of adding descriptive info under your url search?
